Port Charlotte SYC:01 2013 (70cl, 54.4%ABV)

Matured in Syrah casks, a first for our cask exploration series, the result has pushed our heavily peated spirit to a new level. The heavy influence of the wine works exceptionally well with the elegant peat smoke of the single malt.

Nose: Caramel sweetness, Strawberries, Red Apple, Apricot jam and gentle spice underpinned by a subtle hint of peat smoke.

Palate: Charred oak, BBQ peat smoke, Fresh mango, Brown sugar.

Finish: Unmistakable peat smoke, Toasted Brazil nuts, coconut and cacao powder with hints of seaweed.
